EasyBooks development and official support ceased circa late 2018, however we still provide support for existing users of this program. Our first step will be to ensure you are running a properly installed lastest version of EasyBooks and once that is achieved we will look at other issues you are having.
If you have a large number of monthly transactions we recommended you migrate to another accounting software package with official support such as Xero. Please discuss this with your accountant.
EasyBooks is a business accounting package that is ideally suited for small businesses. It was designed in New Zealand to suit local GST requirements. All versions include the cashbook module, supplier module and support for multiple bank accounts. There is a Standard version that allows one company and a Pro version that allows multiple companies.
Known limitations: EasyBooks has a limit of 1000 customers & 1000 payees. For most small businesses this is not an issue, but if you are a business that has lots of customers (excluding cash sales) and/or lots of suppliers then this limit could be an issue for you.
The last update of EasyBooks was version 12.08.01 released 28 Sep 2016, however this was only an update of the executable file.The last full update was version 12.01 released circa Nov 2011. To have the latest version you need to install any full EasyBooks version, then do the last full update version 12.01 and then do executable update version 12.08.01. We can do the install for you as long as you supply your registration/license details or provide a backup file.
EasyBooks should ideally only be installed on a reliable computer. If it is installed on a computer that is more than 7 years old we recommend you replace the computer.
We can provide onsite support in the Auckland area and can provide remote support outside the Auckland area.
