Laptop Choices

The first decision you generally need to make is what size screen. Generally the bigger the screen the heavier the laptop. The smaller the screen the smaller the keyboard is likely to be and is likely to have fewer external connectors/ports. Typical screen size options are in inches 10, 12, 13.3, 14 ,15.6 or 17. 13.3" and smaller size laptops will typically not include an internal DVD/CD drive.

Decide if battery life is an important factor for you and if yes, choose a model with greater battery life. Some people only ever use their laptop in places where powerpoints are handy and for those people it would not be an issue.
