RAM - what kind and how much do I need?

 Faster RAM clock speed (MHz) will improve PC performance. Also RAM configured as dual-channel (rather than single channel) will greatly improve performance. Here is a table showing current operating systems and RAM requirements.

 As at March 2017 we recommend 2 x 8GB RAM (16GB dual channel) for most new computers.
